Who is responsible
This website is run by me, Shayan Parsai, and I am responsible for the personal data collected through it. I'm based in Gothenburg, Sweden. If you have any questions about this policy or about your data, email me at hello@shayanparsai.com.
What I collect
When you use the contact form, I receive what you are looking for (to hire me, build with me or borrow me), your name, your email address, your company if you choose to add it, and your message. If you email me directly, I receive whatever you choose to include.
The site does not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts, and the fonts are hosted on the site itself, so nothing is sent to a font service when you visit.
Like every web server, the hosting provider records technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit in server logs. These are used to keep the site secure and running.
Why and on what basis
I only use your details to read and answer your message and to follow up on what you asked about. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in replying to people who contact me (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If your message is about working together, the processing is also needed to take steps before a possible agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
I never sell your data, I don't use it for marketing and I won't add you to a mailing list.
How long I keep it
I keep your message for as long as I need it to handle your request, and delete it no later than 12 months after our last contact.
If we start working together, I keep what is needed for that work while it lasts, and afterwards only what the law requires me to keep.
Who else can see it
Two services help me run the site. They process data on my behalf and only to deliver their service:
- Hostinger International Ltd (Cyprus, EU) hosts the website and my email. Hostinger may use data centres outside the EU/EEA, and in that case it relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Usercentrics A/S (Denmark), the company behind Cookiebot, stores your cookie choice on servers in the EU.
No one else gets access to your data unless the law requires it.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
